Adriana Arroyo is an artist and researcher. From childhood she was exposed to a sense of constant change through earthquakes, volcanic activity, and a politicised early education in Costa Rica and later in Eswatini. In her work she investigates landscape, to propose possible relationships between coloniality, socio-ecological injustice, geological activity, instability, geopolitics, and the fragility of bodies/minds. She employs a multilayered approach including collaboration, workshops, archival reappropriation, fieldwork, writing, film, and installation.
